Drawing upon industry research, and experience of running a large employability programme, the Foundation realized the need of bridging the demand and supply gap for trained, skilled manpower across various trades in the technical domains.

With formal partnerships with some of the leading agencies in technical training, the Foundation is offering the following trades through the SMART-T programme

  • Automobile Technician
  • Civil Works
  • Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machine Technician
  • AC and Refrigeration Mechanic
  • Electrician
  • Fitter and Maintenance Technician
  • Welding – Basic / Advanced

During the launch year 2014-15, the SMART–T programme began with 2 centres at 2 locations – Delhi-NCR and Visakhapatnam. Last year, the programme expanded to 11 centres at eight locations, adding Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune to the earlier two locations. Over 2,500 youth will graduate in technical trades from the programme this year.
