Inauguration of 75th SMART Training Centre


SMART Centre was inaugurated by Mr CP Gurnani, CEO Tech Mahindra 

 

Tech Mahindra Foundation, the CSR arm of Tech Mahindra Ltd. has set-up 74 SMART Vocational Training Centers in 10 cities in India through which unemployed youth are offered various skill building trainings for free of cost. So far more than 25000 unemployed youth have benefited from the SMART Programs. Out of the 74 centers 3 are set-up in Visakhapatnam at Dwarakanagar & Kancharapalem areas in the previous years.

Soon after completion of the training, the students are extended placement assistance as well. Under the program, the 75th SMART Vocational Training Centre has been set-up at Gajuwaka in Visakhapatnam jointly with Bhagavathula Charitable Trust and was inaugurated on 17th June, 2016 by Mr. C P Gurnani, CEO-Tech Mahindra Ltd. On the occasion, Mr. C P Gurnani has interacted with the students of previous batches trained at the other centers in the city and who are currently working with reputed employers such as HDFC, Karur Vysya Bank, Concentrix (IBM Daksh), Fizer, Idea Cellular, Bharath Mela.com etc.

In his address, Mr. C P Gurnani congratulated all the boys & girls who have begun their job career after getting trained in the SMART Centers and advised students to make use of the opportunities provided through the SMART Centers and etch their career path.
